How to Create a General Admission Event

General Admission events are where tickets are sold online in an ‘Open For All’ manner of event entry
These tickets are not as expensive as Reserved Seating tickets as it doesn’t have many perks attached to it and meant for a basic event experience for anyone wishing to attend it.
Sign-Up to access our dashboard where you can create your General Admission events in few simple steps
After you’ve successfully Signed Up as a Presenter, click on the “Create Event” tab that is located on the top left of our dashboard between the Account name and Search bar.
Choose between General Admission and Reserved Seating. Select Copy Existing, if you’ve created events with Yapsody before and wish to replicate that format for a new event
Add Performances’, to add single or multiple performances, which you can later cancel, unpublish or delete due if required.
Set the ticket pricing as well as limit the quantity of every ticket type, and have a different limit for every performance
Add Ticket Types
Enable General Admission ticket types section-by-section and the performance-by-performance basis on our dashboard to create any combination for pricing with complete flexibility
Designating a quantity for each ticket type is optional. All ticket types pull from a common ticket pool, so you never exceed event capacity restrictions
After you have finished creating the event, you can view the summary of the entire event before you Publish your Event so that you can make the changes and edit the details.

– While creating a Reserved seating event, Click on the Seating Tab
– You will see options like Manage Sections and Seating Chart. Click on ‘Add Section’ under the Tab Manage Sections.
– You will have an option to either add a General Admission or a Reserved Seating section as per your Seating Chart. You can add multiple General Admission and Reserved Sections as per your Seating Chart
– While creating a general admission event, Select the event for which you wish to hold seats. You will be displayed the event information on the right-hand side. Select the ‘Edit’ option.
– You will be displayed different tabs like Event Info, Pricing, Hold Management etc. Select the option Hold Management.
– You can add multiple hold categories to hold seats. Hold categories will help you determine the reason for holding the particular seat. Select the option ‘Add Hold’ to add Hold category.
– Click on the “Create an event” button
– Click on Copy Existing from the options
– Select the name of the event from the drop list you want to copy
– All the details of the previous event get copied into this event
